Hi, need urgent help on my rosacea. I'd been suffering serious rosacea around my mouth at first and now had spreading to my nose and eyes. Been trying steroid cream and Rozex which made nothing improve but worsen. Been trying ACV and Selsun shampoo for 2 days and it's drying and tighten out my skin so bad. What do you guys suggest for me the next? My face is very red and has broken capillaries. I do not have break outs. The redness had keep spreading and my eyes swelling badly. What do you guys suggest for me next?

Go to a homeopath, calc flor & or calc phos might be a good option. Use homeopathic Eyebright tincture for swollen eyes and thinly sliced cucumbers to cool the skin around eyes. Rosacea is hormonal, check your diet too.

See if you can get ivermectin cream stromectol. Rosacea can be caused by demodex mites! NO oils on face! Pick up aloe Vera gel, and lavender, tea tree oil. You will mix up two ounces of gel with two drops each of tea tree and lavender and use that on skin until you get above medication. Any moisturizer creams or oils will feed the demodex.
Pillow cases. Change every day, wash with borax and high heat.
Wash face with tea tree and Sulphur soap. Apply aloe after.

RN, I know of a bad case of rosacea that cleared up with a mostly gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free diet.

Washing my skin with borax has helped my skin greatly. It is gentle and feels soft after.
I have rosecea and control it by taking 1tbps of Evening Primrose oil. I also had to cut spicy food and coffee down but it's all great now!

@Angel L. (New Zealand), it really sounds like perioral dermatitis that has flared up. I believe it's called periorificial dermatitis once it spreads to nose and eyes. Check the perioral dermatitis section here on Earth Clinic for remedies. If it were me, I would spread a light coat of milk of magnesia on it. Make sure it's plain magnesium hydroxide and water. No other additives. Good Sense is the name of a good brand. After 30 minutes or so, rub in some castor oil and vitamin E. Later in the day, add a few drops of grapefruit seed extract to some pure jojoba oil and apply to irritated areas. Use colloidal silver water to gently cleanse your face and eyes first.
I would stop all products including soap, toners, moisturizers, and especially products containing fluoride and sodium laurel sulfate. Do not use commercial toothpastes. Use pure Castile soap to wash your hair.
Like another poster mentioned- eliminate dairy, wheat, and any other foods you suspect you may have an intolerance to.

I actually suggest other! No oils on face at all. Castile soap uses oils that if this is a demodex issue which many rosacea cases are, that will just provide food! Use aloe, and you can add one drop of tea tree or lavender. Demodex hate and die from these oils. Aloe has no food for them but does provide moisture. No castor oils, no butters. Keep skin very clean and just hydrate with aloe.

Good morning Angel.L in New Zealand,
I bring you tidings of great joy (I hope). Help is just around the corner!
Naturapath, Annalise(sp?) Jones works from her clinic in Mount Eden, Auckland and used to have a herbal cream for this, for application to the face etc. I have seen this one work. I am sure she has a web site - so, over to you then.
Either purchase the cream and have her courier it to you ASAP OR, even better, request a session/consultation with her ASAP, seeing as how your problem is affecting you so adversely. Hope you can get an appointment before Christmas!
She has been working as a naturapath for many years.
Good luck and please let us all know how you progress.
Cheers from not far away!

You can try Sulphur soap. Buy online 10 per cent. Avoid mouth and eyes. Then use aloe gel moisturizer. You can get cheaply sodium sulfacetamide lotion and use with the Sulphur soap.
These was a topical, and there is a wash which is stupid expensive. Easy cheap route above.
Do not use cream or oils of any kind on face it's food for your rosacea.
There are cheap Sulphur creams on Amazon. You can apply at night, or use as mask apply wait then rinse. De la Cruz is one cream very inexpensive.
Ditch dairy! I found eliminating that helps.

Hello again Angel L from New Zealand,
We haven't heard back from you, so we hope you are coping with your Rosacea O.K? You have all our sympathy with this condition. Stay strong though.
There have been many suggestions on this Site over the past few days and all those suggestions might seem somewhat overwhelming but I would support the majority of them.
Most of them ring true to me!
You are lucky to benefit from so many posters' personal experiences on this tricky condition. Many people suffer from Rosacea for a long time but short cuts are available I believe - luckily, I cured mine successfully quite quickly but then I knew who to call on for help (and mine was quite mild but previously persistent ).
You really ought to get a proper diagnosis on this, as it is affecting you so severely. That way might seem costly BUT it will save you cash and valuable time in the long run if you can then hone in and target the real culprit.
Where do you start? Well if you cannot manage to contact Annaliese Jones naturopath of Auckland then I suggest you ask your Pharmacist for a natural, non-oily based, face wash that can get started in cleaning the sensitive area of the face - I.e. no harsh chemicals.
Best kick the Selsun shampoo into touch for a while too.
Next you need that herbal cream that I suggested a few days ago and apply it strictly according to Annaliese's directions - you could ask her about those skin mites that (might) be present at the same time. Ask her about Neem tablets while you talk to her. I can't offer advice on those but they interest me, the Indians swear by them.
You only need a thin smear of this herbal cream/ointment.
Next, attempt to go dairy free, gleutin free and most of all, SUGAR free for the next two/three months. Really!!
Drink twice the water you normally drink in small regular doses throughout the day until eight o'clock in evening.
Lastly, if you are feeling flush with funds, splash out on a purchase of "Lifestream" pre/pro-biotic capsules that will assist skin conditions from the inside, as it is possible you MAY have digestive issue / food intolerance issue.
Sometimes the body will try to eliminate junk material it doesn't want through the biggest organ:the SKIN!! Once again, these have worked for me so I am reasonably confident that they could help you (we are all different - but some things are universal sort of thing! ).
Please keep us posted & tell us what worked for you.
Michael
Evening Primrose oil helped mine tremendously. Also, no coffee or spicy foods for a while. Chlorophyll in water to sip on during the day.
