Using Rosemary Tea for Ear Issues in Cats

Posted by Jeanie (Ms Gulf Coast) on 04/21/2018

This question is about a Siamese female cat. My cat has an ear infection and/or ear mites. No drainage or debris but she shakes her head and scratches her ears. Several years ago I had a very alpha Siamese male who was king of our neighborhood. He got into cat fights protecting his mate, kittens and chased dogs out of our yard. I was always treating him for injuries naturally. He had a bad eye injury, once and I bathed it with mild rosemary tea 3 times a day. I was sure he would lose his sight, it looked so bad. In 2 or 3 days his eye was healing and looked normal and in another day or two he was complete healed and I could tell his vision was fine. He was completely back to normal. My question is has anyone experienced using Rosemary for ears in cats? I think it would be healing but as ears are different from eyes I am not sure if I should use it. Can anyone give me advice about using rosemary tea for ears? Thanks.
