Seeking Natural Remedy for Pododermatitis in Cats

Posted by Caryn (Philadelphia, Pa) on 12/01/2015

I have two cats, who are rescue kittens and they both have pododermatitis, one limps often. I want to put something on their paws to heal them and also give them something to modulate their immunity or dampen the immune response.

I do not use any chemical or flea stuff on them and do not use any of it in the house.

Do you have something that has achieved results? So far I've just put turmeric in their food. Thank you

Hey Caryn!

You don't mention diet, but a grain free or ideally RAW diet is critical for immune support.

You might consider Ted's Mange Remedy as a paw soak to start.

Ted's Borax Protocol to treat their water or alkalizing the water with baking soda.

Herbal yucca may help with the inflammation, as well as quercetin which does double duty as an anti-inflammatory with antihistamine properties. Consider also dosing colostrum to rebuild the immune system as well.
