Seeking Remedies For German Shepherd Diagnosed Light Positive Heartworm

Posted by Vince (Houston, Texas) on 12/19/2014

I took my dog to the vet about two weeks ago and he tested lightly positive for heartworms and no baby heartworms. He prescribed Minocycline to him and he was doing fine at first , but now he doesn't even want to eat and all he will eat is fruits and vegetables. If he eats anything else he usually ends up throwing it up. I will be taking him to the vet tomorrow, but I wanted to know if there's something other than this that you guys would recommend. I really hate seeing my dog like this. I've read a lot about garlic, wormwood, and black walnut extract doing a great job at getting rid of them.

He's a 7yr old german shepherd that weighs 69lbs.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.
