Question About Serrapeptase If You Have Metal Implants
This is not a post. This is a question if I may please. In your article entitled: "Natural Remedies for Abdominal Adhesions, " the author suggests using Serrapeptase, unless you have any implants. I just had a total knee replacement surgery, and the scar tissue is on my knee. I now have two metal parts in my knee. Could someone please tell me if Serrapeptase would disintegrate metal, or was the author of the article referring to mesh or plastic or some other material? Please kindly let me know.
Thank you,

Dear Liz,
Personally I have not been able to find a satisfactory answer to this. So I think to be safe it would be better to use other remedies for scar tissue removal if there are any artificial parts. And serrapeprase or any other scar tissue removal remedies should only be used if it is known that the scar tissue isn't necessary for the repair.
For example, I think the mesh for hernia repair counts on the scar tissue for part of the solution. At least in some cases. Some other scar tissue removal options are: Castor oil or comfrey salve for skin scars. Castor oil packs for abdominal adhesions. Etc.

To Liz, the serrapeptase dissolves scar tissue. If your scar tissue is holding the implant in place, then you don't want to dissolve it. If you knee replacement is held in place with cement or other means, then the serrapeptase should be okay to use. My DH's lung is held in place with scar tissue, we don't want that to go away.
