Help with severe stomache acid issues

Hi, I am having extremely bad stomache pain ie burning. Will not stop. Mainly lower abdomen. Am thin but have fat lower belly. Totally acidic. To point where anything I eat is bothering me.

I use Apple Cider Vinegar often w raw honey not helping also ginger tea probiotics but not consistent w them.

In agony. I don't eat fried stuff sugar junk. I tend to eat lots of chicken grain veggies fruit.

Have had stomache issues whole life, 57.

Not sure if this is gastritis or gerd or ulcer gall stones etc. This bout began with me getting bronchitis.

Mother told me to eat celery- it cured her reflux she used to take nexium. I took one dose of generic mylanta yesterday in desperation. Friend told me that was bad idea so no more of that. Generally take no drugs.

Am desperate for relief and healing. Stress also a factor and resentment I think. Am doing everything I can to let go of them but persistent. Also lot if anxiety distress and fear

Please help..will do anything to get well.

I get easily overwhelmed by sheer amount of info out there. Simpler is better.

Thank you and blessings.

Sorrell, might you try 1/4 tsp baking soda in water once or twice a day?

Sorrell, I think this person's use of mallow root will help you, and explains how, also see the comments section for more feedback http://www.knowyouroots.com/ijustgottashare/2014/12/03/marshmallow-root-extinguishes-the-fire-of-acid-reflux/

For your anxiety, tablespoon flax seeds in water overnight, drink in morning.

Best to you in your search for better health.

Hi Sorrell,

Your mention of pain after eating fat can indicate a bile restriction. You might try doing a gallbladder-cleanse and see if that helps. Directions are given on this very site. If you do not have a gallbladder/bile-restriction (such as stones) then a small half-teaspoon of turpentine spirits (or D-limonene, or kerosene) may be your cure. I say this because your pain may also be due to having some nasty bacteria or mold or fungus overgrowth within your gut. Taking turpentine is a simple old fashioned but very effective remedy for such. You did say nothing else has helped.

Hi Teena,

Love your posts, thank you! I am interested about flax seed remedy for anxiety. I usually put a tablespoon of flax or chia seeds in my smoothie in the morning. Definitely notice an improvement in mood when I do. Is there a big difference if you soak them first? Also, have you ever tried drinking this at night and does it help you sleep? Thank you!

Hello Suzanne,

Thank you for your kind words. The reason we soak our flaxseeds is to easily obtain the oils, which contain many vitamins and minerals, without risk of rancidity, which is the case of many store bought flaxseed oils (unless buying cold pressed flaxseed oil that you purchase from cold storage and then put immediately in fridge), so this way is just easier for me to recommend. If your smoothies are completely breaking up the flax, then you are getting the benefits, however if you have a bunch of seeds or grit left over in the blender you may like to try soaking, they go down very easy. I have attached for you some info, the study they cite used 2-6 tbsp day divided dose, which means that the nighttime dosage should cause no ill effects. I have not taken this mix at night myself.

What helps me sleep is magnesium bath or oil, some melatonin when I am doing those unfortunate 3 am starts, avoiding coffee, ( have quit bout 6 months now due to chronic dehydration ), castor oil applied to eyelids (the healing oil makes it difficult to keep eyes open once applied), and Heads---e meditation app when required.

One thing to note, Ted wrote insomniacs suffer from excess acidity, therefore 1/4 tsp baking soda and water can be beneficial, conversely, I have also heard that athletes use this as a boost to energy. Myself I have used this alkalizing formula often at bedtime with lemon, and have not found it to hamper sleep.

Also, whether it is for anxiety or actual nerve regeneration, ashwaganda herb is one that keeps popping up in my research. http://doctormurray.com/get-a-grip-on-anxiety

Best to you

A number of years ago my diaphragm stopped working. I didn't understand why I was suddenly experiencing severe stomach pain, reflux, and digestive issues. It took me years, without much medical assistance, to work out what had happened. A paralysed diaphragm can result in gastroparesis, reflux, GERD, stomach bloating (due to abdomino-phrenic dyssynergia), as well as reduced functional capacity and severe medical conditions.
