Small Black Bug That Bites

Good day. My daughter recently woke up and had a few bite marks on arms, legs and inner thighs . She said the one she killed was the size of a coffee grind, tiny and black. Does anyone have any ideas as to what type of insect or bug it may be? She found one in her sweatpants as well.
