Chemo is rarely successful. It has a 97% failure rate in 5 year survival for humans, worse if it is dogs over a shorter period of time. Dogs don't get cancer in general until their owners feed them wheat, dog food, carbohydrates, and especially fruits. Now the treatment for most dogs is to avoid all carbohydrates and take 1000 mg astralagus twice a day, for the lymph nodes. Large dogs it might be 3 to 4 times a day. I have good treatments for dogs but most are not available or easily found, but I will recommend those that are found locally, such as DMSO but aloe vera oil is not easily found, but is mixed in it, however castor oil is easier, so DMSO 2/3 mixed with 1/3 castor oil, this is applied on the dog topically. It helps if clove oil is added, but it is something like 1 drop per liter of water, shaken into the dog's drinking water, and reishi mushroom extract in capsule or tea is mixed in the dog's drinking water, twice a day. There are others, if you can find it, sabah snake grass and andrographis just 1/8 teaspoon combined once a day if possible. Try to add to the food one capsule of enzymes with each meal, but not tablet form. This should be enough for most purposes, but it must be understood that the food is mostly meats, and is preferably partially cooked, if they were cooked it would contain heterocyclic amines, which are cancer causing, and prepared meats are also cancer causing and may contain acrolien, these must be avoided, all canned foods contain bisphenol A, and they are cancer causing also, so it is best to prepare fresh meats yourself, with some organ meats, such as heart, liver and kidneys. Most important is to give them some lysine, say 1/4 teaspoon once a day or twice a day would be more than sufficient for that size dog. If he is weak perhaps, B50 once a week and selenium 200 mcg once a week.

It used to be that cancer was almost unknown in Thailand and that was 20 years ago. At that time there were no dog food companies, when they came, within a few years there was a sudden rise in dog cancer. You also cannot feed dogs chocolates, they are deadly for them.

Dogs are generally easily cured with natural therapies, it takes 3 months for tumors to completely disappear with some of the above remedies. In lymph cancer cases I used astralagus and lysine among my most important. And one thing you have to realize immune system can be acquired from other animals if the meats are generally uncooked, whether they be snakes, crocodile, chickens, or wolves, but are consumed in form of blood, just a little--100 mg of dried blood, in case you want some knowledge. The crocodile generally has the most advanced immune system, given their behavior of living in swamps and territorial protection, and it is sold in Thailand as a health supplement, but its weakness is that it doesn't work if blood sugar exceeds 90 mg/dL even for dogs, but luckily most dogs with cancer are under that, and more well disciplined than humans and don't run around looking for other treatments that actually kill them while you are doing natural therapies. Humans are complicated and they make mountains out of molehills in cancer treatment, therein lies the failure to begin with.

My 11 year old border collie has a tumor on her mandible- the vet will not biopsy it because she said is too painful, and I am opposed to having half of her mandible removed at 11 years old. My main concern is her comfort, what would help this tumor shrink so she is able to eat in comfort and play with her brother without it bleeding?
