Please advise how to gain weight in a healthy fashion. I am a 67 yr old woman, 5 feet tall and weigh 97 pounds regardless of eating high caloric dense food like nuts, eggs, dairy, in addition to grains, starchy vegs and fruits. I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. Thank you

Pick up the book and read about the Gerson therapy. Although its main focus has been on cancer patients, it has been shown to have great success with osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. There are examples in the book. A vegan diet with appropriate vegetable juices as outlined by Gerson would go a long way to helping with all your health diffficulties. Jay

I am a 40 year old woman. About 6 years ago, I suffered from spinal tuberculosis, was treated with medecines for nine months and became alright. During the course of treatment, I gained weight from 90 pounds to 120 pounds, at which comfortable level, I continued for the next 4 years. In the past 1 and a half years, every time I get my periods, I have a stomach upset and my weight drops about 4 to 6 pounds. Initially, after my periods the weight level came back to its old levels. My doctor tested me and told me that these were probably symptoms of menopause. I started and am still under ayurvedic medication. However, in the past six months, my weight shows no signs of increasing and my stomach has become very sensitive. The weight loss and stomach upset during my periods still persists. Please help me gain weight.

Coconut milk can be very helpful for weight gain. Fresh is best. According to a book on herbal medicine healing I am reading It "helps with intestinal absorption of food, is rich in lauric acid and medium chain triglycerides, and is an excellent antimicrobial fatty acid. Use coconut milk in shakes and take with meals or use coconut meat shredded as a garnish on food". Cheers

Just to update my post, my body got used to it just by using it after a while so I realized that by cutting on it and starting over again just after a break I can benefit from using it. and the fact that " it can make you feel dizzy at some doses ( differs from person to person ) ( and you might find yourself clueless ), by lowering the dose it will be subsided " .
