What Can Help Impetigo Rash Spreading Rapidly

Posted by Skullryder (Wrexham) on 05/03/2015

Hi,

I have had my first bout of impetigo for 3 weeks now. I have just finished my course of antibiotics and it hasnt stopped it at all. my GP put me on a course of flucloxacillin for 5 days. The rash is still itchy and spreading. It started on my head in my hair then spread down my neck and shoulders then my ears. it scabs over the sticks to my hair or my pillow or just cracks then weeps so bad it runs down my neck. The doctor said he thinks its impetigo but he could be wrong..not very reassuring now the antibiotics have ended. The itchy rash is like measels but the sores are like huge blisters that pop and weep. It's spreading badly despite the treatment. I have used cannabis cbd oil on my neck and works wonders but I cant afford to use it all the time because of cost, I was wondering if you could suggest an alternative as I dont want to have to pay for more antibiotics. Thank you.

Dear Skullryder,

There are lots of different things that people naturally -

Here is a link

We have dealt with Impetigo a couple of times. We have used multiple things to cure it. 1 teaspoon (or four capsules) of turmeric daily, with a glass of water, each time, internally, is very helpful. But as bad as yours is, you may want something topical too. Check out GSE on the link above, it gets lots of positives. I have also used colloidal silver spray and tea tree essential oil in coconut oil, topically. (about 5 drops tea tree per teaspoon coconut oil.)

Epsom Salt baths may help to dry it up.

Stick with it. It can be really stubborn! Hope you find much improvement soon.
