What Can Shrink Tumor Of Cat With Adenocarcinoma

Posted by Adrienne (Deary, Idaho) on 02/28/2015

QUESTION: When our Penelope, white American Shorthair cat, age fourteen, was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma we were given few options. The tumor is on her forehead at the top of her nose and in her right nasal passage. Even though, at that time, the tumor wasn't visible, the oncologist said she would not recommend radiation, but could offer chemo. I asked her how many cats she had saved with this approach and after deflecting my question twice, finally, answered when I asked the third time. Her answer was "none". I was a little surprised, but not a lot and told her I would not be subjecting Penelope to such utter nonsense. I say that because our regular vet is still feeling guilty some years after chemoing her own cat to death. She has brought the matter up more than once saying her cat was throwing up and hiding, simply miserable, from her treatment, and it will trouble her for the rest of her life that she did that to her cat.

Instead, I opted for a nutritional approach offered by a company calling themselves "Veterinary Science" or something like that. After a month of their lipids and green powder, etc. the tumor had grown considerably so I switched to mushroom powder and my own concoction of fish oil, enzymes, probiotics, etc., and started giving Penelope hp twice a day. orally, working up to three quarters of a drop each time. The tumor has grown somewhat since then so I began using dmso with hp in it and some baking soda. At this point, the tumor's progression seems less and her spirits are quite good, not as good as in the beginning, but good. She still comes over to lick my face and she eats very well but has lost weight. My question is, what would cause this tumor to shrink? I don't have much spare time as I am a caregiver for my husband and have several other cats and some dogs to care for as well as the house, garden and everything else. But, like so many of you, I prefer harmless, home remedies to pharmaceutical drugs...putting it kindly.

My dog just had a tumor removed from her hind quarters and it is cancerous. I immediately went to research the herb TUMERIC. There are some really good results from giving your pet this herb. I think you have to look to see if it is OK for your cat but I am hearing that it does shrink tumors.

Good Luck, prayers for you.

For this you will find much contribution under "ESSIAC" on EC special sections. Make sure you get the herbs with all the roots (four herb). Read instructions carefully. The herbs are very potent.

Hi Adrienne --- I quite understand your concern. Harsh chemicals treatment will not do and the success rate is below 3% .

If it was my cat, I would give a syringe with Essiac and warm water once a day, keeping food away for at least one half hour or more on an empty stomach. For people it is one hour. Rather less than more as the immune system might intervene. Then use turmeric powder mixed with cold pressed castor oil and apply topically. If she licks it, it will be beneficial but a small soft collar might be useful.

This goes for the posts with dog tail tumors, etc. Do not excise or cut off, no need.

A tumour, before imploding, becomes bigger, so do not panic. Cutting a limb or tail indicates "we don't know anything else".

Actually, Kombucha tea, properly brewed to tart taste is very beneficial for four and two legged. Do read up on it.

Also, you can make packs with Essiac tea as well.

With love, Namaste, Om

Thank you, Om, for your thoughts. I do have Essiac Tea with roots, four herbs. The packet of herbs says it is organic and wild harvested. The company is Blue Moon Herbs and is affiliated with the Montana Co-op in Polson, MT. Because Penelope's kidneys are showing signs of wear on her blood test, I have resisted giving it to her. I'm wondering if I could put the E. tea with turmeric and castor oil together and paint it on her forehead. This tumor is under her skin at the top of her nose so she won't be licking it. What if I added DMSO to take the mixture directly into the tumor? I don't know a lot about how the body works, so I'm wondering if I paint it on, will it end up going through her kidneys anyway, but, perhaps in a lower volume than if I gave it by syringe?

And I thank you for all the time you dedicate to people and animals you don't know, Om, apparently just for the satisfaction of helping other beings in this rather unpredictable world.

Hello, Adrienne --- the methods for healing are excellent. I would go ahead and do these.

I thought that ESSIAC would be good to use to clear the kidneys and generally stop toxins taking over. Another good thing to add is baking soda, just a pinch according to a homeopathic vet. This to add over food to ease the kidneys and organs in general.

Essiac would be good all over. Cancer is in the blood so the entire body should be included. Tumors can be healed as it is nature's way to collect poisons in one area to be dealt with. But Essiac, used for some time, would prevent recurrence.

So, turmeric, root or powder, cold pressed castor oil together as a pack, alternated with Essiac as a pack. And do not forget, tumors when treated thus, can enlarge before they implode. If you the see the mess, do not panic as turmeric and castor oil will do the rest. Penelope has a good chance. Bless you both and keep up the spirit.

Namaste, Om

I started reading after a google search because my 2nd of five cats has diarrhea and is vomiting. Will try pumpkin, squash, or sweet potato for that.

Regarding cancers: assessing chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery vs natural cures, I would only try surgery to remove most of a large tumor. I have seen too many human cases of patients killed from chemo and radiation to want to try those on a beloved pet.

Essiac tea has interested me for a long time, though I have not yet tried it. Turmeric seems very powerful, and I take it every day. One item I have not seen mentioned yet is Jason Winters Tea. Many people think his story and the tea are a scam, and so did I at first. After dozens of hours reading everything I could about his story, I believed it to be true, so I started taking JWT about eight years ago. It is a powerful stimulator of the immune and detox systems, both of which could help cure or at least tame cancer so that your own immune system would have a better chance. My own personal story would take hours to write, and might bore a lot of people.

Two friends in Japan, one 47 year-old female with stage I oral cancer (squamous cell carcinoma), and her father who is 70 years old and was diagnosed with stage I prostate cancer, have had good success with natural methods. The lady is now 100% cancer-free after surgery but rejecting chemo, and her father's latest check-up showed rapidly shrinking prostate cancer cells. The lady's saga began about eight months ago, and her dad's about five months ago.

They both take curcumin, JWT, regular vitamin C and lypospheric vitamin C, vitamin D (and testing to keep their blood levels of 25OH-D around 70 - 80 mg / nl), Life Extension Mix, eat an abundance of organic veggies every day, and strive to keep toxins out of their diets, and the dad take propolis. Much more I could tell you, but those are the main points.

The dad takes LEF's Natural Prostate Formula, which they re-formulate often and may have a slightly altered name now.

I do not have any financial interest in JWT or any of the other items mentioned above. But if you order from iherb dot com, and enter my introduction code if it's your first time there, I might receive a dollar or two. My code is COL850 . Life Extension Mix is often best bought from the source - - Life Extension Foundation - - if they can give you cheap shipping, but iherb often gives better shipping rates overseas (outside of the continental US). Dr. Mercola introduced lypo-C a few months ago, and I believe the quality is equal to that of the other companies making and selling it, plus quite a bit cheaper.

I just discovered this site today, and want to say Thank You! To the people who run the site and everyone who is contributing to it.

Update 20 March 2015 - - homemade boiled pumpkin got rid of the diarrhea in the maybe three of my cats that had it. Thanks again to all!!!

Oh! Here you are! I just discovered the "questions and answers" section of Earth Clinic. This is better than searching all over the place especially when one doesn't remember what the date was when she posted her question....but that's another question for another day. :-)

Thank you so much for replying. I will read through these over the next couple of days to be sure I understand them. I have to be gone quite a bit of that time, but I will and will get back to you if I have anything further to ask or report. Adrienne

EC: Hi Adrienne, please consider creating an account with Earth Clinic so you will always be able to quickly find where we posted your feedback and/or questions/answers!

O.K. But it seems like I did go through those steps. Maybe not. I'm so busy these days with so many, many things that I do get mixed up at times. I'll try to do the account in a few days. Thanks, Adrienne
