What Could Be Causing My Dizziness?

Posted by Wieas (London, Uk) on 06/28/2015

For the last couple of days, I have been experiencing dizziness.

When I have got up to use the bathroom during the night I feel light headed. Then, when I return to my bed and put my head on the pillow it feels like the whole bed is moving, almost like being on a boat. No matter which way I turn the same thing happens. Once I drop off back to sleep everything is ok.

Today, however, I was just bending down looking into the fridge and I went very light headed and found myself staggering backwards. I managed to steady myself and didn't fall over but this has shaken me a bit. This is the worst it's been so far.

I am trying to figure out what has changed recently in my lifestyle, just in case it's connected. If I can just give you some background information which might be relevant.

I went to a check up at my doctor's about 2 months ago. It was a Health MOT, available to people aged between 45 and 70 (I am 54). Until this appointment I have rarely been to the doctor's for any health problems over the last 10 years. Any minor health problems I have, thanks to Earth Clinic, managed to treat myself, with home remedies.

After doing several tests at the Health MOT the results came back that my blood pressure was raised (160/94) and my cholesterol was 8.4. Over the years, my blood pressure had always been slightly below normal (in fact, my acupuncturist who I had seen about a year before told me at every appointment that I had the blood pressure of a 21 year old! ). So, obviously my health is changing and not for the better. The cholesterol test was the first time I had ever had this done so I had no previous results to compare it to.

The doctor advised me to eat more healthily, more fruit and veg etc, and to drink more water, and take exercise, going for walks etc to lose weight.

I immediately decided to take this information seriously and change my unhealthy lifestyle as there is a family history of strokes, heart attack and diabetes (type II). I'd existed on processed ready meals, takeaways and diet coke prior to this Health MOT! I now start the day with a banana, then a piece of fruit mid morning. Lunch is some wholegrain or wholemeal bread with cheese and tomato or peanut butter. For my main meal I have started eating a couple of slices of lean meat (mainly chicken) with half an avocado, sliced beetroot, a couple of tomatoes, a few slices of cucumber. And then later I might have a handful of pumpkin seeds or some almonds or brazil nuts and some additional fruits, like blueberries, kiwi fruit, strawberries etc. I stopped drinking sodas and instead drink around 10-12 large cups of water throughout the day.

I have been on this new diet for about 7 weeks. Unfortunately, due to circumstances the exercise isn't happening as often as I'd like but I will increase the frequency as and when time allows.

Additionally, I have been taking Serrapeptase (80,000 I.u. one in the morning, one at night), one vitamin K2 and one vitamin D3 in the hope this may improve my cholesterol. I also take a tablespoon of gelatin (one in the morning and one at night mixed with water) for any aches and pains in my joints. I also take a magnesium tablet.

Is there any possibility that my new diet and all the cups of water are making me low on salt which is causing the dizziness? Or could there be some other reason for the dizziness? Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks.

W: Did you have your blood sugar checked lately? You might be borderline or diabetic. Taking a supplement of Chromium & Niacin and the herb Cinnamon will help blood sugar.

The drastic rise in BP and dizziness could also indicate UTI and/or Kidney infection. Cranberry and Parsley are good for this condition, as is Garlic and Oregano for infections in general. Take a spoon of Milled Flax Seed with the G or O and this will clean the Colon (which can cause Kidney infection and Hypertension).

Wieas, about the salt issue, you can just put a few grains of real salt (Celtic, Himalayan etc.) under your tongue with every glass of water. It helped me.
