What Should I Do with Blister from Brown Recluse Bite?

Posted by Susi (Alabama) on 08/29/2015

I was bit by a recluse 5 nights ago in my bed while asleep and blister has not opened yet. My Dr who practices medicine old school said to leave it alone it will fall off (?) lol, , , OKAAAAY~I have no pain just a blister that is soft and squishy to the touch. Looks like a huge wart. YUCK! He gave me antibiotics and Fluocinonide cream containing cortisone to apply a thin layer on blister 3X a day.I read somewhere not to apply such a cream. Any suggestions? Should I open the blister?

Susi,

Brown Recluse bite...

I just posted to someone in the Philippines on a spider bite...

My go to on spider bites is the Herb Echinacea. Apply three or four drops topically and repeatedly...Let three or four applications build up without washing off. Repeat for a week or two applying five or six times daily. AND if me, I'd also put five drops in glass of water and drink...three times daily for two weeks.
