Advice Needed for Deep Wound Above the Eye of Elderly Dog

Good Day,
My 13yr old Blind (recently blind and not happy with his situation) Cattle Dog hurt his head above his eye in the backyard..The wound did not heal.. Vet stitched it 2 separate times but the dog keeps opening the wound. I am using an E collar. I am not getting anymore stitches for my boy. Any suggestions as to what can be used to aid in healing this wound??
